Stone witness - Schönwörth palace More
The palace is located in the middle of Niederbreiten creek. It dates back to the 12th century, is one of the oldest historical palaces in Tyrol, and has had an eventful past. Attached to the five-story residential tower is a two-story extension with bay windows. Just a glance at the defensive structure conjures up thoughts of knights and warriors. The historical monument is located in a park, and is surrounded by a stone fence. The palace is privately owned and not accessible to the public.
Sublime insights and views - the Kalvarienberg chapel More
Many places in Tyrol have a Kalvarienberg (Calvary hill) as a religious monument. On the way to the generally elevated sacred buildings, visitors are led past depictions of the passion of Christ. The Kalvarienberg chapel in Langkampfen is 300 meters from the village centre of Unterlangkampfen, on a hill. You can reach it in twenty minutes via a narrow path, which runs along a creek with waterfalls. 14 panels on the way to the chapel depict the way of the cross. The small chapel, with its delicate bell tower, invites you to stay a while, and has an impressive view of the Inn Valley.
Idyllic bathing at a quiet forest lake - Stimmersee More
Surrounded by meadows and forests at the foot of Mt. Pendling is Stimmersee, which is not only a perfect bathing lake, but also invites you to wander around it along the shady shore. The three hectare lake surface, which is up to six meters deep, sparkles with excellent water quality and a comfortable bathing temperature. Bathers use two lake access points with sunbathing lawn, jetty, platform and beach volleyball court.
