Nestled among meadows, mountains, and forests, our house Sonnenhügel is located in the picturesque Hinterthiersee. Here you will find 2 holiday apartments with an additionally bookable double room if needed, on the edge of the village, in a quiet location, slightly away from the road. The town center can be reached in a 5-minute walk. Large terrace (90 sqm), ski cellar, common room with games, cable TV/radio CD, coffee maker, free fast Wi-Fi throughout the house.

Walk through film history around Thiersee. In the post-war years the Thiersee Valley was the scene of many movies. Thiersee was famous as a dream factory in the 1950s, and the fantastic backdrop can be explored by wandering along the lake shore. The "Tyrol dream factory" path doesn't just bring to life the cinematic past; it also invites you to participate. You need to use your legs on a firmly attached shadow bicycle, a boat only looks like it's floating, and a jetty gives the illusion that you're walking on water. Various stations have been set up and give information about the films that were made in the area in the 40s and early 50s, as well as the actors and directors of the era. Stories and anecdotes have been lovingly collected and brought to life here at the lake.
